During 13 June to 15 June 2011, the BBSS NPCC unit had a memorable training camp. However, this time round, this camp is much more unusual then any other camps the unit had before.
In this camp, the appointment holders of the unit (Head of Department in the NPCC unit) were each assigned to one officers as a mentee. They are to learn to think like an officer , view things like an officer and how to handle a camp or even an organized event for any activity.
“Through this camp, I indeed had learnt to be more mature in my thinking. We, as HODs of the unit, have to organize trainings and activities for the cadets. However, in any instructions that are to be given to the cadets, we have to think twice before giving it. We have to repeatedly remind ourselves of this few questions, “ If we were them(the cadets), what will they feel?”, “Is it reasonable for them to do it?” Besides, we must always be reminded that, in whatever we do or say, there must be a reason for every action that we do.”
